Hi Stanislaw, after removing the demo version from the scenery library and deleting the NYC X file folder, are there any other files that require manual removal? I only ask because the demo may be causing a conflict iwth another scenery I recently purchased. I checked the p3d/scenery/word/scenery folder...nothing...anything else?DD Stanislaw wrote:Exactly - simply remove it from Scenery Library. If the reason is that you've bought the full version then you do not need to remove the DEMO - this will be done automatically during install.

Question
Dear DD,
First of all, I love your products. You are doing a great job. I have both New York City X and New York Airports X installed in my sim. They are working fine. However, I do have a simple question: is there a specific priority (order) in the scenery settings as to which one goes first?
Thank you for your prompt answer.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong
Hello Stanislaw.
I have been scouring the forums after installing and reading the documentation for both NYC X and NYC Airports. I think I may be missing something though. The docs say that it will add the files to the "Addon Scenery", but is that all i need to do - just install them? I'm rather new to this, but when I click on the Addon Scenery libray in FSX, they are not listed there.
Also, I have deleted the .BGL files, deleted the directories in the FSX folders as I have found in the forums and reinstalled the product, but it appears as if I am getting the default FSX sceneries.
Can you please help and advise?
Thanks...
Wayne

Please help. I am at a loss and dont know what to do.
I have done a full uninstall and clean reinstall of all of my FSX:SE software, including NYCX and NYC Airports. Still the same problem - default scenery.
The folders are in the steamapps/common/fsx/addonscenery directories, but i am still getting nothing but default FSX scenery. I then try to "add area" but no matter which NYC Scenery directory i choose, i get a message that says "nothing matches your search".
Could please tell me what I am doing wrong and / or how to fix it?
THanks...
