GSX weird menus

Post by MaxRothstein »

Hello Forum
I get these very weird GSX terminals and gates, and I have no idea how to use them. In most cases, the terminal on GSX is the same as the one on the chart, but here there is nothing like that.Image

If you look at the charts, how do you know which gate you should use?

I believe the easiest way would be to use the same gate you've logged-in or was instructed to taxi-in after landing; additionally you may use the scheme below as a reference:

Hi, thanks for the reply. Quick question: where did you get the scheme from?

Hi, I am interested in your products, so I downloaded the New York Airports Demo, unzipped the demo to a temporary location and tried to install it.

Whether I double-click on the installer or I right-click on it and select "Run as Administrator", the same thing happens: after 3-4 seconds, the installer simply disappears! And nothing happens. Is this a behaviour you have seen before?

Another question, for when the install gets going: is it possible to point the installer to another temporary location, as my installation of FSX is not exactly standard?

Thanks in advance -

Jorgen

The answer is: Avast (or any other antivirus). Simply shut it down for 10min and install the product.

What do you mean by "not standard"? If the installer is unable to find your installation path it will ask you to point to where fsx.exe (or P3D.exe) is located.

Aha.... in this case, AVG.

I'll disable it and try again, then report back if any problems - or not.

After disabling AVG, the scenery installed to Addon Scenery. I could then easily move it from there to where I wanted it.

My installation is on my F: drive, and my scenery is in a separate folder outside the normal FSX structure called Scenery, and scenery.cfg is managed by Scenery Configuration editor.

I will try this out, and, assuming everything looks OK, then you have a customer!

Thanks -

With FSX yes, there shouldn't be a problem with manually moving scenery folders and changing the Scenery Library entry to the correct path.

FSX NYC V2.3 Grey Ground Texture

Post by topgun10 »

Recently installed NYC X V2.3 and noticed very dark grey ground textured that did not blend with the surrounding areas which was distracting. Dark grey area lines are in many of the NYC ground texture. Will this ground texture issue be addressed in an update or is there a fix I can do now? Otherwise a great job on NYC X. Thanks!

Hi!
I will appreciate a screenshot of that area - it will help to define what can be fixed.
