Removing NY Airports from XPlane

Post by LPM61 »

Dear Stanislaw,
I need to run some tests on my ystem and remove many of my airports packages. What is the procedure for removing NY Airports in X-plane and those entries manually made in the nav.dat, if I am not mistaking....
thanks for your help ;-)

To remove a scenery you simply need to remove it from the Custom Scenery folder. All changes in nav.dat done manually need to be reverted manually as well (it is always good to back up a file before editing it) or by running the XP installer (it will ask if you wish to overwrite the nav.dat file or keep the existing one.

Pink 2.0

Post by Tim/Rodeo314 »

Hey, so I was flying into KJFK the other day, and I noticed the same kind of pink I was having with the Miami City XP scenery before.

I took some screenshots but I seem to have misplaced them; reporting it anyway.

Oddly, I never noticed this before, but then again I recently switched to new hardware with different rendering settings; it may be that my previous settings made it harder to spot somehow.

Hopefully this can be resolved using the same fix as for the Miami scenery?

So, I re-downloaded the Mac/Linux zip archive from the store in case I was missing an update since version 1.1, but I still have the issue.

It seems to depend on the viewing angle though.

From above, hardly noticeable: https://www.dropbox.com/s/741prz7grzgpo ... e.png?dl=0

But in the next screenshots, it's hard to miss:

Hope this helps.

Any chance of adding the Autogate plugin to New York Airport XP?

Is it planned (to add Autogate support) for the Polish Airports 1/ 2/ 3?
I would really appreciate that.

Thanks,

Good. Now please try THIS ONE and it should be fully fixed. The file should be unpacked into X-Plane 10\Custom Scenery\1 New York Airports XP high .
Captain Jainer wrote:Do you have any plans to add more static aircraft or traffic?
No, this would kill your FPSes. Lets wait for Austin to produce some AI for his sim. :P

For XP exists AI traffic without or minimum influence on FPS.

I recently purchased your New York Airports XP (for X-Plane) scenery package. I believe I have it installed properly. At KLDJ (Linden) airport I see a number of pink geometric areas. Is there a patch or some adjust that I need to make to remove those?

I purchased from the X-Plane.ORG store. I am running X-Plane 10.42 on Mac OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite).

This is the output of my scenery_packs.ini file:

I look forward to your response.

Hello Rod.
Did you try redownloading the package and reinstalling it? Would you be able to provide a little bit more details regarding your XP rendering settings?

Hello, I have exactly the same "Pink" areas at Linden.

My X Plane settings are identical to Rods.

Is there a patch or can we remove these pink areas they are very obvious...they glow!!

Thank you.

regards

David

BTW The New York City Scenery is superb, hardly any fps hit, thank you.

Hello.
Yes, we are investigating the issue. Did you try removing the scenery_packs.ini file?
This is how it looks like on my setup:
