I use ORBX Meigs Field which includes additional Chicago city detail, but I have tried it both with and without the ORBX scenery installed with the same result - ie. all of Chicago city buildings disappear whenever the DD Airports X are installed. Just to confirm again, I am *not* using Chicago City X, or its demo.

Am I able to upload some pictures to this forum to show this which might help?

Yes, you may upload them for example via this tool: https://imgbb.com/

It's already hard to say if your problem has any connection with the compatibility between our Chicago Airports with our Chicago City scenery.

Thanks for the reply.

As I have never installed it, I wouldn't think that the problem would have anything to do with your City scenery, unless there is some part of the Airports installation process that affects the City area?

From what I can see, autogen buildings seem to be unchanged, just the non-autogen ones that are gone.

Luke, thanks for the screenshots, we will check that.

PS: with the v1.0 GSX should work just fine in case of all jetways: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH3ot21 ... e=youtu.be , at least with A/C as large as PMDG 777.

Can Confirm, the whole city of chicago has been destroyed. in my case doesnt matter if I try to install the demo or just have the default scenery. Was going to go with Orbx Meigs since its cheaper, adds the skyline, and has meigs,..................... but based on his report

:(

This has been fixed now in the DEMO: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wnxci5hk4kez9 ... O.exe?dl=1

Here is a quick fix for the full version (will be included in the update):

The file goes to Addon Scenery\Chicago X\Scenery .

Many thanks for the quick fix! Will test tomorrow and confirm whether that works on my end...

On another note, from the KMDW pics I posted previously, the stock airport grass underlay in the four corners of the airport seems to be still showing.

I assume that this is beyond the boundary at which you had built your airport, but is there any way that this can be suppressed to look as it does in the nice promotional pictures on your website?

Yeah, that stock grass is default FSX/P3D indeed. The best thing to remove it would be to get the City package. :) You know, there has to be some sort of a con of not having the City package :D Just kidding, but the ortophoto simply ends there indeed.

It seems like AI aircraft don't ever use 28C for landings, but choose 28L and 27R instead. How can I make AI aircraft choose 28C? In real life 28L seems to be less used than 28C.

I installed just the airports package, not the city, but my entire downtown is gone. Is anyone else having this issue?
