New York City X
Latest version: v2.6 (2020)
Re: New York City X
Many of the buildings in my NYC X 2.4 installation look, um, fire-damaged. The shapes are quite distorted, and the textures seem a bit dark (although that could be authentic). I've reinstalled (twice), and the effect is the same each time. I've tried P3D 4.3 and 4.4.
I'm sure the product has basically installed, because the most of the custom buildings look great (and non-default).
FWIW, my installation is in C:\Programs\Prepar3D (non-standard, because some other add-on couldn't install to Program Files). In theory, this shouldn't matter.
Should it looks like this, or is something amiss?
Thanks for any guidance!
Peter

Hi.
The scenery should look exactly as on our promo screenshots:
http://www.drzewiecki-design.net/prodNYCity_X.htm
...and customer-made videos: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... drzewiecki
Please note that this product is designed to be used for realistic aircraft/helicoper flight operations and viewed from a larger distance/altitude.

Re: New York City X
Thanks for the reply. It's a bit hard to tell whether my images match your product screenshots because your screenshots don't highlight those areas. I'll assume my installation is working as intended.

Re: New York City X
If you get the latest installer you can install NY under many different platforms, including P3Dv4 indeed. Same with Washington.
Re: New York City X
Hello,
How can I verify what version of NYCX I have installed?
Thanks,

Hi.
You can:
a) run the installer - it shows the version
b) open the manual - the version is given on the first page

Re: New York City X
I bought New York City X (and Washington X) when I was flying on FSX. Great products!
I recently upgraded to P3dv4.5 and tried to install them but the installer I had kept from my original FSX installation doesn't recognize P3dv4. I figured I would just download the newest installer however, I bought New York X from flightsimstore.com (almost 3 years ago) and I bought Washington X (2.5 years ago) from fspilotshop.com. Both of these websites seem to no longer be in service.
Is there a way I can get those updated installers from somewhere else or transfer my license someplace else? I still have the emails with the order details.
As a note, I bought New York City Airports most recently from aerosoft.com.
Thanks!

Re: New York City X
Hi there,
I have this scenery and it's superb, but I was wondering if it's possible to use it in conjunction with Mega Scenery Earth New York? I'd like if possible to have DD scenery for New York city itself, but Mega Scenery for the wider new York area. Perhaps this is a question best put to the Mega Scenery people, but I wondered if you had any advice about whether this is possible.
Kind regards,
Tim

Hello Tim.
Yes, that should be possible indeed. I can recall few customers who actually did that successfully.

Re: New York City X
Not the easiest feat to pull off though, right? At least not for beginners, I imagine.

New York City X - Problems in Brooklyn
Hi
I just updated my Flightsim computer to (I9 9900KS & GTX 2080) and Drzewiecki Design New York City in Manhattan runs fine in locked 30 fps,
but I have some problems in Brooklyn (the Area between Manhattan and KJFK).
I have installed
ORBX LC North America
ORBX Vector
FS Dreamteam KJFK2
The Problems are:
- around KJFK are missing Autogen Biuildings (just flat areas)
- Brooklyn has less Autogen Buildings
If I deactivate "New York City X", the missing Autogen Biuildings around KJFK come back
and Brooklyn has more Autogen Buildings.
What is the correct Scenery entry? KJFK V2 FS Dreamteam above "New York City X"
Is there a workaround?
Can I deactivate Areas in "New York City X" outside Manhattan?
Greetings Erik
