So I installed Washington XP on a frsh install of X Plane. No plugins, no other addons, etc. I am still getting the floating buildings error. I agree though, I think there is something wrong with the mesh in my sim for that area and I will continue to test. I am also going to test the product with XP 11.5 and see the result, will report back!

I can confirm with a fresh install of 11.5 and trying all different configurations of the scenery config file I am still experiencing this bug. I tried it with photoreal and static aircraft on and off with the same result. Therefore I believe it is nothing on my end even if the bug occurs with a fresh install. Here again was my scenery order.

Hello, I'm having elevation and dirt runway issues, after reading all 11 pages I believe this google drive folder is the fixer but I can't access it

Hi, let us check this again - we will get back to you.

In last version of our scenery there shouldn't be any problem with dirt runway issue - are you sure that you have installed last version of this scenery?

Yes, I think it has something to do with my downloaded Ortho and Overlays, and I thought maybe that could help

Hi,
After updating to V1.2 (did a complete install), I am experiencing floating buildings, too. Must be something wrong with the mesh.

Thanks for the report - we are looking into this issue. BTW: which XP version are you using now?

Regarding floating buildings:

I'm using XP11.50b9 on a Mac and tried both OpenGL and Metal.
I have also tried to make a Custom Scenery folder only with Washington XP to see if any other scenery was interfering. That still gave floating buildings

I'm afraid that something is blocking our flatten file to work correctly. That's why it's always better to wait until release of final sim version than working on the compatibillity with beta... We will try to figure it out.

I totally understand as XP is in a bit of a transition phase. Is your team any closer to finding a fix for the mesh?
Thanks for the hard work!

Unfortunately we need more time to make a fix.

Possible fix for the mesh issue in Washington XP.

Please put the file into the X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\DD Washington XP Layer2\Earth nav data\ folder.

The issue was generated by the newest X-Plane update which removed flatten functionality from helipads, affecting many Washington areas. The new file should fix this.

I just downloaded the update to Washington DC and am just a little confused by the contents of the XP INSTALLER. I understand the photoreal files and assume the one you select goes into the Layer 2 file. However, where should I put the earth_nav11.txt and the user_nav.dat files? I didn't see anything in the Document files, so I just need a little help to make sure I'm putting everything in the right place. Thanks.
