No taxiways/routes defined in release i just purchased from x-plane org store

Hi, what do you mean by no defining taxiways/routes?

Looks great !!

Bought it on x-plane.org and have some questions:
- There is no 'installer' as mentioned in the Manual
- There is no traffic on the airport, so no maintainance vehicels are moving
- There is no public cars driving along the airport on public streets.

Some things work:
- Jetways are working
- Train is moving

I think I have installed it correct in CustomScenery/ and I have SAM3 plugin activated. But maybe I missed something?

Thanks for your report - regarding installers, there should be available both exe installer and zip for manual installation. But sometimes it depends on the store which version is available.

Let us check the reported issues.

apt.dat does not contain line items 1200-1206 defining taxiway routes. this scenery is unusable by any app that requires taxi routes. I have added the definitions myself. in your DD Washington City XP12 apt.dat there are definitions on lines 1200-1202. Am i not explaining this correctly?

PS one graphic element addition/request suggestion for the Washington DC area,... George Washington's Mount Vernon (its a short flight in a helicopter) and the lawn makes for a nice helipad

I've been to DC a number of times so over all I really, really, really like the DC scenery since I'm using XP12 to get use to how helicopters controls work because I'm looking into a Part 61 PPL(H) add-on

Anyway FWIW seems at Sibley Memorial Hospital, all the structures are "floating" in mid air where the helipad is located,... (see photo)

Hi all,

I just purchased KDCA for XP12 at the xplane.org store. A few findings:

- The manual is not properly updated to reflect the XP12 version (it refers to XP11 and also to installers, the screenshots show the folder structure of XP11 etc.)
- The "south terminal" (Gates A1-A9) are looking as they are missing textures. Just single color, grey blocks (see attachment). I know that this terminal looks really bland in real life but the texturing in XP12 is really off-putting
- No aiport traffic (catering trucks, ramp cars etc.)
- No car traffic around the airport
- Trump is still in the White House

Hope you can fix these issues in a new update. Thanks!

... to add to my findings from above: it looks like you are still using the old XP11 2D trees instead of the beautiful new and native XP12 3d trees. Pretty sure they come from the old ortho file that was already used in the XP11 version and was not adapted to XP12 standards.
I have to say: I'm pretty disappointed. The scenery leaves a lot to be desired for a 25 USD product.

We have custom-placed trees indeed and theoretically, we could replace them with 3D trees, but it would be at the expense of performance. We think it is not a good idea.

This product has been updated to v1.1 . Changes in the new version:
  • Apart from KDCA, the following airports and heliports are landable: Sibley Memorial Hospital DC52, MedStar Washington Hospital WH6, Georgetown Hospital DC09, Walter Reed Emergency Heliport 60MD, S Capitol Street 09W, US Park Police DC03, Washington DC Police DC12, White House helipad XKWHH, Pentagon Helipad KJPN, Washington Executive/Hyde W32, Potomac KVKX, College Park KCGS, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling XK009Q, Andrews AFB/NAF KADW, Spirit of Washington DC04
  • Airport vehicle paths have been fixed so handling vehicles are now driving correctly
  • Marine One Hangar, overlapping helicopters fixed
  • Helipads ensured to be landable (solid surface)
  • Fixes to the White House model
  • Fixed Sibley Memorial Hospital mesh
  • Textures upgraded in KDCA South Terminal
  • All 2D trees replaced with 3D trees
