At the moment for Drzewiecki Design's sceneries there is being used a custom text menu which is called with 'SHIFT+D'. Please bear in mind that it's not possible to adapt it to the requirements of all users, but you can try to consult this with the SODE designer: https://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=442

You may simply assign your camera to another shortcut.

why is it always a hard way :(
I got used to this keyboard shortcut when i didn't have your scenary yet
probably have to edit the .sbx file(this is the second problem of placing SODE outside of .xml)...

This Shift+D keyboard shortcut was actually "forced" by SODE a few years ago.

Re: ORBX AND DD installation

Post by WilloW »

Hello

Is the download identical if you purchase via ORBX?

I ask as there appears to be more options available (turning things on and off) to those that have bought directly from DD.

Does ORBZ have the latest release?

I also notice that with the ORBX install you have a choice if using photo scenery. Does using the photo scenery require higher frame rates?

Thank you, WilloW

Hi. This is weird. Can you post a screenshot of those additional options? Frankly, the options should be the same.

Hello

Find attached.

It is most likely normal. However, most of your other airports have several options during the install. ORBX has zero options other what you see in the screen shot.

My system is quite a high specification and despite this the frame hit is quite severe with RJAA compared to other DD airports. I was thinking that there maybe a light install option.

Thanks, WilloW

Hi, in case of standard installer there is option remove static planes and switch runway lights to be always ON. So, in case of performance there is no difference. On the other hand - please check the reviews on Simmarket. They suggest "very little impact to performance".

Thanks for the reply.

As I purchased through ORBX (I should have checked your website before buying), is there a way to turn on the runway lights so they are always on ?

I guess I could remove the ORBX version and purchase another license from DD, but I would rather not pay twice.

Thanks, WilloW

I guess they did not implement this into their installer for some reason... I'll try to ask why.

It seems so.

Is there a way to turn on the runways lights permanently without the DD installer ?

Thanks, WilloW

Negative.
Unless such an option is implemented to another installer.

Yes, the "Lights always ON" option is missing indeed. I guess ORBX decided that this is a very rarely user option and not worth implementing.

Hi - Well ORBX are incorrect in their assumption.

I will be vigilant next time when buying from ORBX and check the third parties website.

Is it possible to obtain a copy of the DD installer ? I will then remove ORBX and install directly from your installer.

Failing this, will you be discussing this short fall with ORBX with a view that they pass along to their customer "exactly" what you release ?

Dziękuję Ci, WilloW

I'll ask them if this can be included.
