The fix did not help unfortunately, I still get dirt runways and taxiways.

Which version of scenery have you installed?
Please provide your scenery_packs.ini and logs.txt file here (as zip file).

This is now resolved by changing the scenery load order.

Yesterday I purchased two of your sceneries: New York XP and Washington DC XP downloads thru X-Plane-11. New York loaded fine and really looks great. Washington is not working. First, after it downloads I get the message "Washington XP Win...exe was blocked because it could harm your device." I clicked on "Keep" anyway and what appeared in my download folder was not a Washington folder but only a file called "Washington XP Windows v1.3" at 815,391 KB. I had removed X-Plane's Washington DC from the X-Plane Custom Scenery folder (as per the instructions for downloading) and moved the newly loaded file to the Custom Scenery folder of X-Plane. When I opened X-Plane and flew out of Regan National Airport the scenery was poor, nothing like the video of this scenery shown on the X-Plane store - which looked great! The overall quality of scenery at airport and in air was poor and such central buildings as the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and National Capital (all in the video) were not even there. It was clear something is not right. Again, this is not the quality shown in the promotional video.

As I said, New York worked well and looks really good. What is my problem in downloading and using Washington XP?

I am new at this so I appreciate your help. Since I was able to load New York and it works great, I'm puzzled by the problem with Washington. I followed the same procedures.

Thank you for your help. Richard Caldwell

Hi, sounds strange - maybe something was wrong during the install indeed. It's always worth disabline antivirus or even Windows Defender could have blocked something.

Firstly, we need to understand what is the current state of affairs. So please attach zip file here, which will include scenery_packs.ini and log.txt files.

Secondly - please make sure that "number of objects" setting is medium or even high to check if it makes a difference.
And last but not least - let me know if you allowed XP11 to rebuild scenery_packs.ini - it can help in some cases too.

The problem has been resolved. I by-passed the computer's warning to delete the download and saved it anyway. I then went to that folder and downloaded file. As it turns out, I did not know I had to double click on the file. I tried that to see what would happen and sure enough, that was the key to getting it opened and working. It now works great and the scenery is very impressive.
I did not have to do this with the NY XP scenery I had also downloaded for some reason and it works fine. That is one reason I did not double click the Washington file before. :D

Thanks for your report. At the moment we are hardly working on Narita for XP. So we have noted your report and will make the respective tests a.s.a.p.

Do you plan to update this file with Biden replacing Trump in the White House?
