I've been flying out of Chicago O'Hare (ORD) more recently, and I've noticed that the invisible potholes do exist, but only in certain aircraft. I understand that previously this problem has been brought up, but was dismissed because they could never find the problem. Taking this into consideration I did some testing, specifically where the tunnels go underneath the taxiways and runways. One thing I found is that the Zibo 738, default 738, and the C172 aren't affected by the invisible potholes, and will go across the bridges ideally. Meanwhile, the FF757 and the Default 747 both struggle with these invisible potholes, meaning the main gear sinks into the ground about 2 feet and then it gets pushed into the air. While this only partakes to certain planes, particularly planes with a longer distance between the nosewheel and the main gear, it's still visible no matter what plane you're in. For example, if you take the free camera "c" and lower it into the ground at the bridge between P5 and P3 for 10C/28C, you can tell there is a slight height difference when on the bridge, and when not on the bridge on the runway (28C), same applies to the adjacent P TWY, and A, B Bridges south of 27L.

Thanks for sharing your tests with us - we will discuss internally if we are able to do something with it again, especially if XP gives us any space for improvement. On the other hand, if it's different per different plane types, it might be quite tricky to find a solution.

Hi, can you check if the attached file makes a difference?

Please unzip it and copy into X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\DD Chicago Airports XP\objects\

Let us know the result.

Sadly, the file did not fix the problems stated above. Where I've found the invisible potholes to affect the plane is when the aircraft's main gear first goes over the bridge, and when leaving. (Bridge being any taxiway/runway surface over a tunnel). It just seems that the surface of the bridge, to which the aircraft's gears are on, is slightly lower than the ground base surface.

Can you try with the new fix?

It has to be copied into X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\DD Chicago Airports XP\objects\ (replace the old one - but please backup the old file too)

What about SAM plugin and SAM library - are they installed and updated?
Please make a zip file incl. your scenery_packs.ini and logs.txt files and attach them here.

Hello,

just bought the Chicago City and Airport for X-Plane 11via the x-plane.org store along with other scenery and planes for Windows 10 PC.
For some reason the downloaded files will not open and installation will not start:
- Chicago Airports XP Windows v1.0.exe
- Chicago City XP Windows v1.0.exe
All other exe files I downloaded yesterday work ok.
Tested my older DD files for New York airports and Miami City - which I installed few month ago - same here it does not start the installation.
I have tried to turn off anti virus, did few PC restarts - no change.
Any idea and your help would very appreciated.

Thanks.

What does it mean that they do not want to start? Any error or message? Maybe corrupted downloads - have you tried to download them again via other browser or specially - dedicated software?

This does the trick! It fixed the bridge issue, works flawlessly!

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for all your help.
