Did this fix it with the US world update installed? If it did I will try when I’m home. Curious to know if you tried to fly to KADW.

The area of CTD varies for users but everyone is getting it at KADW that I’ve seen on the forums. I think depending on the LOD settings, if you have a greater LOD set you get it further out but it seems the culprit is in the area of the airport. That’s why some users get it closer to the Washington Mall or KDCA and others are not, but haven’t heard of anyone being able to get to KADW without the CTD.

Have you tried flying into Andrew’s Air Force Base to see if you can replicate?

I’ve been posted away for a few days very late minute work request. Did anyone try the fix above and did it work for them?

In our case it helped. But in few other cases it turned out that the problem still takes place even without our scenery, so this is again highly enigmatic mystery of MSFS

Guys, I can confirm that the CDT in the Washington DC area is directly related to the default KADW area. Unfortunately, it is related neither to our Washington Landmarks product nor to our KDCA Washington National product so we cannot fix that. The report has been sent to Asobo and we are awaiting their reply. The CTD occurs always and KADW (with default scenery) and even when you start flying towards the airport (from KDCA for example).

I think that’s where we were all heading to, it’s a Asobo problem and not your add on scenery. We must now wait for them to fix it, let’s hope it’s soon.

It's definitely not a problem caused by the add on sceneries, because it happens with an empty community folder. Thanks for sending the report to Asobo! Hopefully it will get their attention. This seems to be a work around for the CTD. However, the ongoing LOD problem is still present- no airport details / statics present even with dev mode mod. Looking forward to an update!

Here is a temporary work-around which fixes the CTD around KADW:

• Go to the folder: Official*\OneStore\fs-base-cgl\CGL\032
• Rename the bldo010.cgl file to bldo010.x_cgl or just remove it.

Many thank to N6722C and Nirgal2776 from the MS forum for finding that.

* the Official folder is in the same location as your Community folder. You can check the location of that folder by opening the
C:\Users\[...username]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\UserCfg.opt
file and check-in the last entry, which might look like InstalledPackagesPath "D:\MSFS", where D:\MSFS is the path.

Out of interest when I reinstalledWashington Landscape and KDCA a few days ago I noticed the following gets loaded into my Community folder:

Just wondered what it was and is it still required?

Yes, that is a little bug, you may just delete that file.

The new version v1.2 of the product has been sent to stores. Changes:

- Fixed LOD display for airport vehicles, static aircraft, terminal interiors, and 3D people
- Several signs fixed
- Static aircraft replaced with newer models
- All jetways made operational and compatible with SU6
- Fixed jetway display from a distance
- Vegetation fixes
- The no-static version provided


Please read THIS if you experience CTDs in Washington area. This issue has been confirmed by Asobo and happens in the entire world in some areas. Asobo already found the fix which will be published with the Simulator Update 7.

All stores are provided with the new version at the same time, so everything is already in hands of ORBX.

I noticed a bug when the KDCA package is installed. Looks like there is an issue with RWY 19, when RWY 19 is selected for departure, Default ATC tries to use RWY16 which of course doesnt exist.

Removing the KDCA Scenery the airport works correctly with RWY 19:
