Re: Seattle Landmarks MSFS
I would like to see a change to the LOD settings for the cranes in Seattle landmarks to allow to be seen from further away....they do not pop into view under normal MSFS2020 scenery until I am about a mile away....could you fix this or is it something the user can control through a file change or something? Also they pop into view at different times....the Eastern most ones come up first, then the middle and Western ones pop in together.

LODs can only be changed by us, so will take a look - you mean cranes, right? Can you show few screenshots when they appear and when they don't?

Re: Seattle Landmarks MSFS
This is flight pics from KRNT to mid of Seattle
Sm7fVXs-map of flight (approximate)(this doesn't seem to work as an image)
46A-Halfway across Lake Washington
47A-South of Seward park
48A-West of Seward park
49A-Over hospital (cranes become visible)(in VR only the Eastern most cranes are visible here)
50A-over I-5 (in VR the Western most cranes become visible)(there are three lines of cranes and the two Western most ones seem to be visible in unison)
51A-Over Southern Downtown
52A-Turning West over midtown (Western most cranes disappear, Eastern cranes still visible)
I would like to see the LOD changed so that from about image 46A distance the cranes are seen in line with the other MSFS2020 scenery....thanks

Do you always use VR or they are also disappear in your case without VR?

Re: Seattle Landmarks MSFS
This might be the VR issue indeed - the screen resolution in particular. LODs in MSFS are displayed differently on 4k, 2k, HD etc. The product is optimized for 4k monitors.

Re: Seattle Landmarks MSFS
I am using a 4K monitor and a PIMAX 8KX which is 3840 x 2160 for each eye....
The scenery is set to ULTRA on everything and as high as it will go on all other settings in 2D
The VR is set to 3000+ x 1900+ and most things are HIGH or ULTRA with bushes on LOW and reflections to OFF
my expectation for Seattle Landmarks is to see the cranes at 5 miles or so (near Seward park and out on Alki Point) and have all cranes visible not just the closest ones to me....if this is not possible then let me know....they are much better renditions than the MSFS ones and so I would like them to be seen.
Thanks

I use 2D and VR and you must be closer in VR to see them appear than in 2D

Re: Seattle Landmarks MSFS
So far we have not been very focused on VR mode. There is still open question if we will be able to find a compromise between these two modes (see Stanislaw's answer). At the moment we are not able to give a concrete answer.

Re: Seattle Landmarks MSFS
The VR functionality is not as important as getting the cranes to be visible in the 2D version at a reasonable distance....can this be worked on?
