Thank you, but the jetway remains in the erratic position even after I zoom back and I can also se the change from the cockpit. This happends at all the gates I tested at this airport. Gate 16-20.
This issue does not happend in any of the other 3rd part airports that I have (around 40).

I wish I knew how to create a recording so that you would see for your self.

It is a bit annoying at this very nice airport you have created.

Hello Peter,

Thank you for checking and for the additional details.

If the jetway remains misaligned even when you switch back to cockpit view, and it happens at multiple gates (16-20), then we need to treat this as a reproducible issue on your setup and narrow down what is unique there.

Most important question (please answer first):
  • Are you on PC or Xbox?
  • Where did you buy EPWA: Marketplace or another store (ORBX, Simmarket, iniBuilds etc.)?
  • Do you use GSX (yes/no)?
Quick isolation tests (PC only)
If you are on PC, please try these two tests (they are fast):

Test A - GSX off
  • If GSX is installed, temporarily disable it and restart MSFS
  • Load EPWA gate 16 and test the jetway again
Test B - clean Community
  • Temporarily remove all add-ons from Community except EPWA
  • Restart MSFS
  • Test again at gate 16
This will tell us if a conflict is involved.

How to make a short recording (PC, very easy)
You do not need any special software:
  • Press Windows + G to open Xbox Game Bar
  • Click the Capture widget
  • Click Start recording
  • Record 10-15 seconds while you zoom out and back in
  • Stop recording
The clip will be saved automatically in:
Videos\Captures

Then attach it here using the Attachments tab below the reply box, or upload it to any file hosting and paste the link.

If you are on Xbox
Xbox recordings are also easy:
  • Press the Xbox button
  • Choose Record what happened (or start recording)
  • Upload it and share the link
We understand it is annoying, and we will help you solve it. We just need the 3 items above (PC/Xbox, store, GSX) and ideally a short clip to see exactly what the sim does.

Best regards

Hi, I am on PC and I bought it at ORBX. I use GSX but I turned it off for testing and I tested to turn off everything in my community folder. I have not tested all gates but I feel it strange that this issue only happends at this airport.
Gateway 14 is working just fine. You should look into 16-19 where I am getting this strange misbehavior.

Hello Peter,

Thank you — this is very helpful information.

The fact that:
  • Gate 14 works correctly
  • Gates 16–19 show the issue
  • GSX was disabled
  • Community folder was clean
means we are likely dealing with something specific to those stands rather than a general simulator setting.

Before we investigate the stand configuration, we need to rule out one important variable:

Which aircraft are you using?

Please test the following:

Test 1 – Default aircraft check
  • Load gate 16
  • Use a default Asobo aircraft (e.g. A320neo)
  • Connect the jetway
  • Zoom out and back in
Does the issue still occur with the default aircraft?

Some third-party aircraft report door positions differently to the simulator, which can affect how the jetway aligns and animates.

Also, just to confirm:
  • Are you using DX11 or DX12?
Once we have:
  • Aircraft type
  • Result of the default aircraft test
  • DX mode
we can narrow this down precisely.

Thank you for your patience — we’ll get to the bottom of it.

Best regards

Hi again,

I have now tested gate 5 and gate 14-24 with different airbuses incl Fenix.

It seems that only gate 16-19 is showing this erratic behavior.

I am on dx12

Thanks,

Peter

Hello Peter,

Thank you — that is very useful.

Since:
  • Multiple aircraft were tested (including Fenix)
  • GSX was disabled
  • Community folder was clean
  • Only gates 16–19 are affected
  • You are running DX12
the most important remaining variable is DX12.

There are known cases in MSFS where DX12 causes animated objects (including jetways) to behave differently compared to DX11, especially after camera distance changes.

Could you please perform one final test:

DX11 Test
  • Switch the simulator to DX11
  • Restart MSFS completely
  • Load gate 16
  • Connect the jetway
  • Zoom out and back in
Please let us know if the behavior persists under DX11.

If the issue disappears in DX11, this would confirm a DX12-specific rendering/animation quirk rather than a configuration issue.

In parallel, we will review gates 16–19 internally to verify the jetway setup there.

Thank you for your thorough testing — this is very helpful.

Best regards

Hi,

I'm on MSFS 2024 which is dx12 native and there is no option to switch to dx11. I dont see that option in the userCFG.opt to swith manually either.

Hi, please check your usercfg.opt, find the line PreferDX12 and change the value to 0. Save the file and restart the sim.

Hello Peter,

Thank you for the clarification. Adding to Martin's message:

MSFS 2024 is DX12-by-default, however on many PC installs the DX mode is still controlled via the same config flag used in MSFS 2020: PreferD3D12 inside UserCfg.opt (0 = DX11, 1 = DX12). The reason this is confusing is that MSFS 2024 does not always expose the switch in the UI, and the file location differs from MSFS 2020.

Please try this (the most reliable way):

1) Find the correct UserCfg.opt
  • In Windows, press Start and type: UserCfg.opt
  • Right click it and choose Open file location
  • Open it with Notepad
2) Check if this line exists:
  • PreferD3D12
If you find it, please paste just that single line here (do not paste the full file).

If you do NOT find PreferD3D12 in the file you opened, it usually means you are looking at the wrong UserCfg.opt (MSFS 2024 can store it under a different package name, commonly Microsoft.Limitless).

---

Independently of the DX topic, since you already isolated this to only gates 16-19 and tested clean Community + GSX off + multiple aircraft, we will review those specific stands internally.

For now, the two most useful items from you would be:
  • A short clip (10-15 seconds) showing: connect jetway at gate 16, zoom out, zoom back in
  • The single line from UserCfg.opt containing PreferD3D12 (or confirmation that it is not present)
Thank you for your persistence - your testing is very helpful.

Best regards

Witam.

  • Przejdź do Profil → Menedżer zawartości.
  • Wyszukaj „EPWA Warsaw Chopin”.

  • Uruchom ponownie symulator.
