Re: Seattle Airports X
Hi.
Thanks!
This might be the way the newest iteration of P3D displays the objects. Anyway, this issue hasn't been reported before.

Re: Seattle Airports X
Ok and thanks.
Btw, does Seattle require running a particular mesh value?

Re: Seattle Airports X
No recommend mesh setting - as it has very little impact on performance, OOM or slow texture loading, you shouldn’t be focused on low values.

Thanks.
Just bought a bunch more of your airports. Not sure how I missed them. Great work.

Thanks a lot for your kind words.
Re: Seattle Airports X
Hello!
I've read through this thread about various elevation issues at KPAE and I'm sharing a few screenshots of my issue in P3D 5.3.17.28160. There's a strange ridge which seem to follow Paine Field Blvd, Airport Rd, etc...I figured maybe it had something to do with Orbx Global Vector roads but still shows up after disabling that. Also, floating cars in one of the parking lots. I have Orbx Base, Vector, openLC North America and Libraries installed. I sure don't want to un-install the Orbx stuff just to get one scenery to behave if that's the issue. Otherwise, any ideas how to fix this? Or is there still a planned update that would fix it?

Thanks!

Re: my above post...
Found the specific file in the [p3d-root]\scenery\0101\scenery folder that was the culprit: cvx1514.bgl
There were a couple posts suggesting cvx1515.bgl was the offending file which I tried initially but now wonder if that wasn't just a typo. I realized there was probably a correlation in the files to the number in the stock airport name which is APX15140.bgl. So I went about disabling (adding ".off" to the filename) any files with *15140.bgl or *1514.bgl until it worked.
Hope this helps anyone else with KPAE elevation issues!

Thanks for sharing.
BTW: Have you tried with Orbx Vector disabled? Was there any difference? Lockheed Martin vastly improved the vector data in P3D v5.3 and I heard that theoretically in some specific cases Orbx Vector might cause some issues.

Re: Seattle Airports X
Is this package compatible with MSFS 2020?

Hi.
Negative, it is compatible with FSX and Prepar3D.
For MSFS products please navigate here: https://www.drzewiecki-design.net/products.htm#FS2020

Re: Seattle Airports X
I recently got a new computer, and I am reinstalling my scenery back into P3D v5.3. At Renton I have floating buildings (they look like default buildings) at the end of runway 34. I also have some floating buildings on the hill (also at Renton). I haven't noticed the buildings before, so I don't know if they were floating in the scenery on the old computer.
Is there a fix for this??

Re: Seattle Airports X
Hi Joseph,
Please provide a few screenshots of the issue.
P3D also has an issue with levitating autogen (default buildings and trees) which is a sim bug (we can't fix it). Perhaps this is what you see.

Re: Seattle Airports X
I don't think I have a problem actually. Before I was at Seattle and then went to over to Renton (via the navigation menu in P3D) and that's when I saw the floating buildings. But just now I started the sim at Renton and the buildings were not floating anymore.DD Stanislaw wrote: ↑Saturday 01 Apr 2023, 04:01 Hi Joseph,

That's good to hear - thanks for your reply.
Re: Seattle Airports X
FYI - My observations having installed 1.4 versions of Seattle X and Seattle Airports into P3d v6:
- As always details of downtown Seattle are great.
- KSEA and KBFI looks great. Some of the runway markings are duplicate and don't exactly match up.
- KPAE has its usual great details but there is an elevation issue. The field is at a lower elevation than the surrounding area.
- Without Seattle airports, the threshold of 16R is about 612 ft ASL.
- With Seattle airports, the threshold of 16R is about 565 ft ASL.
P.S.:
- I have not loaded any other scenery.
- If I load Seattle X without Seattle Airports, KSEA and KBFI looks like stock P3d but KPAE is devoid of almost all the scenery detail (but no elevation issues).
- After what seemed like a normal installation, I still had to manually add the Seattle X folder to the scenery library.
