Washington Landmarks MSFS
Latest version: v1.3 (2022)
Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
finally up on mfs mkt.
i'd like to second the request to add some cathedrals and buildings in georegetown as they're prominent on the port side as coming in for the river visual rw19. also, the visual ref lights on the george mason bridge isn't there--it was there for the p3d version.

Hi, we can note your wish and consider adding these points in the next updated version - can you provide some screens of landmarks, which you mentioned below?

Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
Hello!
I received an update in Marketplace for Washington Landmarks and came here to look at the changelog. Wow, it took a little bit of time for it to show up in Marketplace, didn't it?!
As I read the comments, I noticed that you are taking into consideration requests for future updates? I'd LOVE it if you'd consider a few points of interest in the "southern" area of KDCA, specifically Alexandria & National Harbor.
As others mentioned, there are a few VFR landmarks that would be great to see on approach/departure. These are specifically for RWY 1/19. Not going to list the SIDs/STARs as there are several! But the points of interest are:
- National Harbor itself. Specifically, Gaylord National, MGM National Harbor, The Capital Wheel, and The Awakening statue.

- The Woodrow Wilson Memorial bridge (although this may be there already?) w/ park.

- The George Washington Masonic National Memorial.

- Jones Point Lighthouse.

I've included some Google Map links that have pictures, as I noticed you asked other members to post pictures. Hopefully, these links work for you, but if not, let me know and I'll try to find some good representative ones to post.
Also, I couldn't find any good departure vids from RWY19, but I did find a few arrivals for RWY 1 that show some of the sights.

Masonic Memorial (notice quite distinct from the rest of the buildings):

I'm sure some of these would be an undertaking, specifically National Harbor, so I appreciate you taking it into consideration!
Thanks for your time! Looking forward to your next releases. Haven't picked up KRNT yet, but will soon!

Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
Hi,
Regarding Marketplace we know that it takes a long time, but it's out of our hands. We provide our files to all stores at the exact same moment.
With reference to requests, we are always open for comments from our users and we are happy to get such ones. I will not analyze each one at the moment, but I will note them and we will check what is possible to do as soon as we start working on the updated version. In the meantime you definitely should try KRNT too

Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
Hi--
On the Series X, what is the solution to get KDCA to work in unison with Washington Landmarks without causing a CTD? For me, I am only able to have one or the other installed, but never both. I get a CTD using default aircrafts and default liveries, sometimes instantly and sometimes within a few minutes of entering the Sim. This issue has been going on for quite some time (I've seen people reporting the same issue when KMDW and Chicago Landmarks are installed at the same time) and I am wondering if there is an answer or if we need to keep waiting for one. Thank you.

Hi.
We wonder that too. Going down with graphic settings might be a possible solution for now. Additionally, there were some performance downgrades introduced with Sim Update 9.

Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
The Basilica of the National Shrine is a landmark that is sorely missed in this package. In my opinion, it should be top priority for the next update. Not only it is a beautiful building, but also due to its massive size, it is a landmark that can be used for VFR navigation in part of the city that is otherwise flat and has no other outstanding feature. The model is already available and therefore should make it easier to be included in the scenery.

Thanks.

Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
When you are going to release an Update please take a double consideration if you are going to replace any Asobo's landmarks - especially the buildings around the National Mall and Pentagon. It would be really sad to see the high quality landmarks be replaced with the low poly 2011's models
Also, I know it probably looks like a really small detail but the enternace of the Washington Monument is still several years old since it was modelled after the old version of it. It went under some renovations a few years back and it would be nice to see the Monument up to date.

Thanks for your opinion. We need to take a look into this update and then we probably will make decisions about the possible development of our products.
Re: Washington Landmarks MSFS
On a quick inspection tour after WU X, Jefferson Memorial is duplicate. Both versions partially overlap.
Of course I've got your Washington Landmarks below WU X in Content.xml.
