Hello, I downloaded this via Orbx as it now was listed as compatible in ORBX with MSFS2024. However, in 2024, if I try to load this airport, or BFI, or Chicago landmarks, they seem to just hang in MSFS 2024. Any word on when KPAE, KBFI, and others will be compatible with MSFS 2024 or why they are currently not compatible?

Let me check what is the status - generally Orbx has his own installers, which should be updated by them. However, I need to check whether we had to provide them with any updated files too.

To be clear, I was able to install them via ORBX, but in MSFS 2024, if I try to load up KPAE (or KBFI for example) the simulator just hangs. If I uninstall the custom airports, it goes back to working perfectly.

If Orbx shows them as available for MSFS2024, you should report the issue directly via their forum — maybe something is wrong with their installer.

I have the same problems as what Giffdev had: msgs2024 just hangs when it starts at the airport of KBFI or KPEA it, I don’t see any updates from the developer for msfs2024.

Have you ever made any updates for msgs2024. If you did, what is the version?

Hello, our installers have been updated and provided to all stores.
Please bear in mind that some vendors have their own installers, which requires their own update (Orbx, Marketplace, etc.).

May I ask what is the latest version. Mine is v1.1, which is not working properly.

Hi, can you confirm that it happens when you select to remove statics, cars and people? Can you try to install the scenery without changing any option in the installer and see if it hangs? Once we had a chance to replicate such behavior but in the case of different scenery.

The last version should be 1.2, but let me confirm this with my colleagues. The version numbers should be updated in our forum soon.

Thanks. The same thing (hangs) happened on all your 3 airports in Seattle. This is happened only when the airport is selected at the fly now screen. If you select another airport around Seattle area and fly to those 3 airports, then it is fine. This was starting happening after patch#3 updates.

All airports I used are v1.1.

But if you do a clean install of the scenery again and will not touch any options in the installer, is there any difference?

I didn't change anything during the installation. It's still the same.

Don't know if it will help Martin but I'm a beta tester over at ORBX so took a look.
The version which is currently available for both MSFS 2020 and 2024 is called v1.1.0 and, as far as I can tell, is identical for both simulators.
I saw above you suggest the latest version is 1.2
No problems in MSFS2020.

In Msfs 2024 I first of all tried with a fresh install and didn't change anything.
I then deactivated the four options (people, planes, cars and factory interior) and tried again.
In each case KPAE was the only addon in my community folder and I saw the same.

On the world screen I can select the airport, choose which start location I want and click on Start Flight.
The simulator doesn't freeze but the little loading circle in the bottom right just keeps rotating and the flight doesn't load.
I can still use esc to get back to the world screen.
I wondered if it was just a very long loading time so left it going whilst I was out. 6 hours later the circle was still going around!

I can quit the simulator but then have to use task manager to actually end the Background Process 'FlightSimulator2024.exe'.

As far as I can tell the same happens when trying to start at a different airport near KPAE.
As others have noted if you load a flight some distance away (I started at KSEA) and fly to KPAE the scenery seems to load and display normally.

Hope that helps.
Let me know if I can try anything else to get more information.

All the best,

John

Thanks for the clarification.

Can you confirm that it happens with Orbx installer only? Or was it replicated by someone with our installer too?

I only have access to the ORBX installer Martin so can't help with that I'm afraid.
