Hi Martin:
We don't see v1.2 available at anywhere. The latest one is v1.1. Do you see any similar hangs on those 3 airport at Seattle?

I'm experiencing the exact same issue as John B. I also installed KPAE and KBFI using ORBX. I get the endless spinning circle. The only way to exit the game is by using Task Manager to kill the MSFS process. MSFS 2024 Marketplace shows KPAE version installed as 0.0.0 using 2.37GB. Has there been any progress in finding a solution yet?

We are not sure what could be the cause of your problems. So far, in almost all reported cases, it looks like being related to the Orbx installers, which are not in our hands.
Is there anyone, who was able to replicate this issue using any other installer? If not, it might suggest that something has to be fixed by Orbx, but I need to be sure.

Hi Martin.
I'm assuming you are not seeing the issue.
Can I therefore confirm that the current version is 1.1 and that the files in the FS2024 version are identical to the ones in FS2020.
I've had a number of ideas but as yet can't find any way of getting KPAE to load from the world screen using our (ORBX) installation.
All is fine in FS2020 and, as others have mentioned, you can fly in from elsewhere in 2024 and the scenery displays correctly.

I've also been looking at reported issues at KRNT and KMDW.
As noted in the relevant thread KRNT looks fine but takes a long time to load.
I may have found a way of solving the issue of the buildings at KMDW disappearing when the nostatic option is selected but am waiting for feedback on whether my fix works for others.

All the best,

John

I can't imagine what kind difference it can be from Orbx installation compared to other installation such as simmarket.

Hi, there might be a difference because two different installers were created by two different companies. However, we were able to replicate it in our installers too, so it's not Orbx. Unfortunately, we are still not aware of what is causing such behavior - theoretically, it can be avoided in our installer by not touching any options during the installation process. As soon as the cause is identified, we or the sim developer will provide a fix.

Thanks Martin.
Appreciate your feedback. Good luck finding what's causing this.

Martin if I could ask one last favour - there are a couple of things I'd like to test.
Can you tell me what options are enabled or disabled by default in your installer (in other words what would be the state if I didn't touch any options during the install).
Secondly, less obvious but just following a hunch. Could you post a copy of the layout.json file your installers produce.

All the best,

John

Hi Martin,
For those of us who purchased KPAE and KBFI via ORBX, would it be possible to use your installer for this scenery pack to get around potentially a problem with the ORBX installer? If so, can you provide us with the link to it?

Thanks,
Phong

Hi all,

Just wanted to post and say I'm also having the same issue with Paine Field. I've been able to load into Newark & Washington without any issues but Paine Field just endlessly spins even if I deactivate all options in the Orbx page (static cars etc)
What's odd is that once I try to load into Paine I can press escape and go back into the map but from then on no other airports load, no matter what it's like Paine field stops any other locations from loading. I've tried to load into the water next to Paine Field in a float plane but it's the same thing.

I'm wondering if other installers/stores work 🤔

Let me get back to you after the Christmas/New Year break with more details.

Unfortunately, it's not a possible solution at the current stage.

My understanding is that everything is back to normal after removing our scenery from the sim, right? Default works OK for you as far as I understand.

Secondly, if you remove our scenery from the sim, clear the rolling cache, rebuild SceneryIndexes, and install the scenery again via ORBX but with default settings in the control panel (not touching them), does the issue remain?

Hi Martin.

The answer to your last two questions are Yes and Yes.

Default scenery is fine.
Re-installing via ORBX and removing the cache file, the scenery index and, for good measure, the content.xml file results in the same problem.
Can I confirm that someone has checked that when using your own installers and making no changes KPAE loads correctly?
If that is the case any chance of letting me have the layout.json which loads successfully (appreciate you can't send out full installers).

All the best,

John

Would really appreciate a quick response Martin.
At ORBX our support is, quite reasonably, getting requests especially given that you have suggested our installers are an issue.
I know that you and I both just want to do the best for the customers.
Simple question - has anyone got KPAE to load from the world screen in MSFS2024.
All the best,
John

I can also confirm uninstalling and doing a fresh download and install from another installer (Contrail) does the same for Paine Field. Hangs on loading, never loads and then won't let me start any other flights till I restart the sim.

That said I was able to go to Paine Field and everything loads, I just flew to there from a nearby airport. Everything at Paine loads and I can explore with the Drone cam.
I just can't start cold and dark etc from the map.

Yes, it works using our installer with the following setup:
