Just a note. I have MSFS 2024 on my D drive.

This is a set up/pay for service. Is there an e-mail?

Let me give you my experiences with this. I removed MSFS 2024 completely. I re-installed it. I then installed Chicago Landmarks first.

When I created a flight to Meigs Field; I first saw dirt ( Meigs after runway was removed). I then saw as the textures continued to load; a lake, then the runway, Then the buildings at the end of the runway, large rocks, and rocks replacing boats in the harbor.

There was a lake covering the runway when 2024 was released. When Asobo released update 1; the lake was gone. I am assuming that there are multiple layers of textures. For some reason this doesn't like either 1.3 or 1.4. which I have. I also own every US software that you have produced.

Asobo put some work into Chicago. Buildings are blurry. It still is no- where near as nice as nice as Chicago Landmarks which I have owned since first released.

Hi, thanks for your screenshots. As far as I see, there seem to be default buildings.

Am I understanding correctly that you'd like to use our Chicago Landmarks MSFS with KCGX? This is your problem, right? Because standardly, our scenery doesn't include Meigs Field - it generates the actual state.

We remember that in MSFS 2020 we had some questions about KCGX and it was possible to have it using the priority tool. Should I understand that you tried to use this tool and it doesn't help?

In MSFS 2024, the way of removing objects was changed and there has to be a different exclude option, but it should be done by the author of KCGX, not by us.

Meigs Field is included in default MSFS 2024 & 2020.
It is not an add on.

I stand to be corrected when I said Meigs airport was in 2020.. it was just a park.

In 2024 Meigs airport was added. Everything was there including the runway. However there was water covering the runway. The water was removed in the first update.

When Chicago Landmarks is installed buildings pop up and there are rocks near the water and what used to be boats in the Marina. I want be able use Chicago Landmarks and have a normal Asobo Meigs Field.
There are no after market Meigs available for 2024.

I'm afraid it should be reported to Asobo then because they should do the respective exclude there to have no conflict with the other add-ons.

And have you tried this reorder tool? I see that there were some issues with this feature in MSFS 2024, but it seems to be solved in SU1. I remember that this prioritization helped in MSFS 2020 for Meigs, so maybe there is a chance to have it in the right order in MSFS 2024 too. Have you tried that already?

Should Chicago Landmarks be above or below Asobo Meigs?

Chicago Landmarks should have a lower priority.

How do I get the installer to find the correct simulator path? This is the only add-on that I have had this issue.

Thank you
I finally got this figured out. SimMarket as you know has a Window App. All my add-ons for MSFS 2020 and 2024 I was installing via the SimMarket App. For some unknown reason Trying to install the Chicago Landmarks for 2024 from the App would result in getting the error. When I downloaded from the SimMarket website, the install had no issues.

Thank you

Thanks for sharing. I would suggest reporting such a problem to Simmarket too.
