KDCA Washington National MSFS
Latest version: v1.5 (2023)
Re: KDCA Washington National MSFS
How do you get the installer to install into 2024? Every time I run it, it just installs into 2020 with no option to select the 2024 community folder.

Which installer version do you have and from which store?
Do you have both sims active?

Re: KDCA Washington National MSFS
Howdy y’all,
Wondering if there was a way to remove either the glare in the tower view or the windows over all. I do virtual controlling and it’s extremely hard to see sometimes out the window because of the glare… or when it’s night time I can’t see really anything. Appreciate the help if anyone knows how to solve this issue!

Hello, yes both sims are active. The installer is the v1.4 exe file version 9.5.1.0 and I believe it came from simMarket.Martin_Starski wrote: ↑Saturday 05 Apr 2025, 06:05 Which installer version do you have and from which store?

Awesome, thank you! I also realized it’s possible to transfer licensing to inibuilds. If their installer is generally more up to date I’m happy to transfer my license there. I see they have a web form to submit the transfer but Drzewiecki isn’t in dropdown list of developers to choose from. Do you know if it should it still be possible to transfer the license?Martin_Starski wrote: ↑Wednesday 09 Apr 2025, 10:12 We will upload the last version 1.5 in Simmarket soon - I hope it will solve your problem.

The transfer or license is already not available for our products.

No problem. I was able to successfully update with the new installer from Simmarket. Thank you for your help!Martin_Starski wrote: ↑Thursday 10 Apr 2025, 07:28 The transfer or license is already not available for our products.
Re: KDCA Washington National MSFS
Hi DD team,
I tried downloading the KDCA update from the Simmarket store using the 1.5 installer and picking the 2024 sim and it's giving me an error attached. Seems like it's trying to install in the community folder but the path looks slightly wrong and I cannot manually select the path.

Appreciate your help.
Dave

Re: KDCA Washington National MSFS
It has to be something with the incorrect path in the file, from which our installer reads the path. Can you check what is mentioned in this file:
MS Store:
%localappdata%Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.opt
Steam:
%appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\UserCfg.opt
It turned out that another developer's path setting installer may corrupt UserCfg.opt files in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Please make sure that in this file “InstalledPackagesPath” entry points to the path where your Community folder is installed.
Other user shared similar problem and solution - please take a look here: viewtopic.php?p=29840#p29840
Last but not least, you can also try to:
1. Remove the patch from UserCfg.opt file, which means that it looks like this: InstalledPackagesPath ""
2. Run our installer, which should ask for the path to the main MSFS folder (incl. Community and Official)
3. Complete the installation
4. Revert the original path to the UserCfg.opt file
Re: KDCA Washington National MSFS
Sorry if this has been asked, but why is ATC instructing me to depart “runway 17” (doesn’t exist), and is there anything I can do about it?

Re: KDCA Washington National MSFS
It is possible that the issue is being caused by the custom invisible runway that we created to make way for the 2nd PAPI lights. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, we were unable to find an alternative solution at the time. However, we are continuously working on improving our product and hope to provide a more effective solution in future updates.
As a temporary fix, we suggest trying a solution that has been used by other users.

I had a similar issue today with the latest version of KDCA (v1.4 from SimMarket). ATC gave me rwy 17 (which doesn't exist) vice 19 and omitted any taxi routing. I replaced the KDCA_PLC.bgl file from your previous post and it solved both issues immediately. Thank you!
