KDCA Washington National MSFS

I have major drops in the taxiways and hold short areas in MSFS 2020. I haven't had this until the most recent updates to MSFS.

As far as I understand, this drop is caused by the update of MSFS, not the update of our scenery. Am I right? Have you tried to report it to Asobo first? Maybe they are working on something that might fix it.

I have uninstalled DD KDCA to trace down which update may have broken the scenery, here are notes from various installs. If this is an Asobo issue, I am unsure of how to have it handled But, with some pointers I'll submit to the appropriate channels. I own the products through Orbx, which is showing v1.4, not v1.5 as others have mentioned. I am using MSFS 2020, so I am unsure if this issue is present in 2024.

Issue DOES occur. Attempting a fix with Landmarks V2 to be higher priority.

CONCLUSION --- Landmarks v2 may or may not be the issue in conjunction with Asobo updates. I have all current World & City updates installed as required. Although there was a minor update yesterday when I started the sim, and that is when this started, so I do believe the recent updates may have contributed to this issue. If y'all could look into this before I submit something to Asobo, it would be so appreciated.

Will just continue to use Landmarks v1 until this is resolved

As far as I understand, it's about the PC version. To be very honest it sounds strange that it happens on taxiways or hold shorts. Have you also tried to reinstall the scenery, clear the sceneryindexes, and/or isolate our scenery from the other addons that might interfere? If it doesn't help, I suggest waiting a bit to see if the other users also experience the same issue or if Asobo provides another fix.

I'm seeing the same issue with Landmarks v2. I've noticed it on Runway 4, the threshold to Runway 15, and the threshold to Runway 33.

Can you please explain in detail what is happening there? Can you also confirm that you have tried all the standard steps described in the previous post?

Does this corroborate what others are seeing (at R19)? Afflicts taxiways adjacent to some runways e.g. R19
These caused an impromptu STOL and premature end to a recent 13hr flight from Zurich. That will teach those miscreants who removed their seatbelts early.
Unfortunately, I can't see a way around these chasms.
I should retry when v1.5 reaches Contrail. Quite hoping your next version includes an inflatable airborne Donald

The whole airport ground should be flat. Please give us more details - MSFS 2020 or 2024? Which version and from which store? Any other scenery that might interfere with our scenery? Have you tried some basic steps like:

-> Clear SceneryIndexes Cache - the simulator will rebuild the indexes automatically during the next start.
-> Set the scenery priority - the MSFS Package re-order tool can move the add-on to the highest priority, which might solve some conflicts between different add-ons (for example buildings or terrain issues).
-> Isolation of conflicting add-on - go to the 'Community' folder and move all add-ons except the one suspected conflicting one to a temporary folder. You can de-activate individual add-ons or groups of add-ons and then figure out whether the conflict is solved or not.

Hello. Back in 2022 I purchased KDCA from pcaviator.com. I still have the purchase receipt email. The newest version they offer to download is 1.4. Is there any way to get 1.5? That version installs into MSFS 2024 correct? I've now switched to the newer simulator and would love to fly KDCA again.

Hi. Yes - 1.5 is the latest compatible with MSFS 2024. We need to check with this vendor why it's not available because we provided the last version to all stores at the same time.

Ok, thanks for responding. I just re-confirmed that 1.4 is the latest version available to download from pcaviator. Is there any way I can get 1.5 directly from you guys? I'm happy to provide proof of purchse.

Ok thanks. I'll watch for it. I also purchased Washington DC Landmarks at the same time. Has that been updated as well? Not as important as getting the airport update. But landmarks is showing version 1.3 on their website.

Hello all,

I have just purchased this scenery for 2024 and am currently running it with SU4 beta. I noticed a problem with certain parts of the airport not being drawn correctly, and there is a strange animation around the area where aircraft appear in the overhead imagery. Cleared my scenery indexes and restarted, but this didn't change anything. Not running any other DC scenery aside from the default MSFS content.

Running version 1.4, the latest from Contrail.

Yes, it's the same deal with Contrail right now - 1.4 is the latest they offer.
