I think it's becoming clear that pcaviator isn't going to do anything about this. They haven't responded to either of us or updated their website. I suspect it may be a dead site running on autopilot. I'd really like to fly Washington National again. As I've stated previously I'm happy to provide proof of purchase. What can we do at this point?

any update on a fix to this issue? It is still very much occurring in MSFS 2020

I have uninstalled DD KDCA to trace down which update may have broken the scenery, here are notes from various installs. If this is an Asobo issue, I am unsure of how to have it handled But, with some pointers I'll submit to the appropriate channels. I own the products through Orbx, which is showing v1.4, not v1.5 as others have mentioned. I am using MSFS 2020, so I am unsure if this issue is present in 2024.

Issue DOES occur. Attempting a fix with Landmarks V2 to be higher priority.

CONCLUSION --- Landmarks v2 may or may not be the issue in conjunction with Asobo updates. I have all current World & City updates installed as required. Although there was a minor update yesterday when I started the sim, and that is when this started, so I do believe the recent updates may have contributed to this issue. If y'all could look into this before I submit something to Asobo, it would be so appreciated.

Will just continue to use Landmarks v1 until this is resolved

Hi, I'm afraid no one answered my latest post in this discussion:

The whole airport ground should be flat. Please give us more details - MSFS 2020 or 2024? Which version and from which store? Any other scenery that might interfere with our scenery? Have you tried some basic steps like:

-> Clear SceneryIndexes Cache - the simulator will rebuild the indexes automatically during the next start.
-> Set the scenery priority - the MSFS Package re-order tool can move the add-on to the highest priority, which might solve some conflicts between different add-ons (for example buildings or terrain issues).
-> Isolation of conflicting add-on - go to the 'Community' folder and move all add-ons except the one suspected conflicting one to a temporary folder. You can de-activate individual add-ons or groups of add-ons and then figure out whether the conflict is solved or not.

I've purchased the scenery via Contrail. How do I disable the sounds?

If Contrail keeps our scheme of files, you should be able to disable/remove the respective sound files from ...\drzewieckidesign-kdca\SimObjects\Landmarks

My apologies if this has been answered already. After a quick look through, I wasn't able to find an answer. I have both KDCA (purchased in the MSFS Marketplace) and Washington Landmarks V2 (purchased from Contrail) installed in MSFS2024. When I'm approaching the DC area, a few miles out, I can see the airport, I can see the Washington National Mall, my simulator freezes up. The aircraft sound continues to play, but I can't hit escape to back out of the flight. My only option is to force close MSFS2024. Please let me know what troubleshooting steps I should take to resolve the issue. Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you! Thanks for your reply! I tried all your steps and still had the same problem. When I disabled both KDCA and Washington Landmarks, then I realized it's probably something else. On one of my flights, I noticed a train crossing one of the bridges shortly after takeoff, which made me wonder if that might somehow be the conflict. After disabling the FS Trains: North America addon, the problem went away. I will get in touch with their developer to let them know of the conflict. If there's anything you can do on your end to resolve the issue, please let me know. But, I wanted you to be aware in case anyone else with a similar setup reports a similar issue. Is there any chance of making ALL gates available? I found someone posted a fix for KEWR, but I can’t find that post again, nor can I find one for KDCA. I’d like to be able to pick any gate and not have to reference my note about which gates are disabled.

Wouldn’t mind buying another Drzewiecki scenery (KMDW maybe) but the disabled jetways are annoying.

It's frustrating how customers have been begging for them to make this available for all sceneries for pretty much 5 years now and they're so blase about it, isn't it?

We've already created a few sceneries that consider this feature, so it should be expected in the future, but for the existing sceneries, it's still unclear when the updated versions will come. I know that from the user's perspective, it's an easy fix, but it's not. Please look at it from a slightly broader perspective. We are not a non-profit organization - it's necessary to keep the company running, keep people working, pay taxes, etc. New projects have priority.
