Hi,
Thank you all for the detailed feedback and logs — much appreciated. We will address each point separately below.
------------------------------------------------------------
1) Gate 8A – only L1 docking (FF777, openSAM)
------------------------------------------------------------
From the log provided by FlyMunich we can see:
- openSAM is running (v4.5.0-bt1)
- The original SAM plugin is also loaded from another scenery
- Multiple duplicate datarefs are detected
This does not necessarily mean something is wrong, but it confirms a complex jetway environment.
Regarding Gate 8A specifically:
- Not all gates at KEWR are configured for dual jetway operation.
- Some stands are intentionally configured for single L1 docking only.
- Dual jetway support depends on stand geometry and aircraft compatibility mapping.
We will double-check whether 8A was intended as a dual or single-jetway stand and confirm.
------------------------------------------------------------
2) UPS cargo – light poles intersecting structures
------------------------------------------------------------
Confirmed from the screenshot. There is a placement issue but that entire area looks weird as well, including ground markings. We will check what is going on there.
------------------------------------------------------------
3) No static / optimized version – FBO statics and Terminal A interior
------------------------------------------------------------
This is intentional.
- The no-static version removes airliner statics near terminals.
- Some GA/FBO aircraft remain to avoid a completely empty apron.
- Certain interiors (including Terminal A) were left enabled by design.
The optimized version greatly reduces load, but does not strip every optional visual element (we may adjust later, what is actually included in which option).
------------------------------------------------------------
4) Missing taxilane H3 (Terminal A)
------------------------------------------------------------
We will verify this against the current airport layout data and charts.
If H3 is indeed missing or misclassified, it will be corrected.
------------------------------------------------------------
5) Roads / street lamps bleeding onto taxiways A11 and H3
------------------------------------------------------------
From the description and screenshots, this strongly suggests an overlay conflict.
Looking at the scenery order in the provided log:
- DD KEWR Newark Liberty is correctly installed.
- Multiple city / overlay packages are present in the area.
- There are also legacy XP11 sceneries active in the XP12 installation.
This type of artifact typically occurs when:
- Another scenery contains roads or orthophoto overlays in the same tile.
- That scenery is layered above or interfering with airport terrain.
Please try:
- Ensuring "DD KEWR Newark Liberty" is above any NYC or regional overlays in scenery_packs.ini.
- Temporarily disabling NYC-related add-ons (even if for XP11).
- Checking whether any custom ortho tile exists for the KEWR area.
The visual symptom strongly indicates another overlay bleeding through.
------------------------------------------------------------
6) Bridge not perfectly connecting to road
------------------------------------------------------------
This is a known X-Plane 12 limitation.
- XP12 mesh editing is extremely restrictive.
- Smooth terrain blending across custom bridges is difficult without fully 3D solutions.
- We intentionally avoided fully custom 3D terrain reconstruction to preserve performance.
What you are seeing is therefore a simulator-level mesh compromise rather than a broken object.
------------------------------------------------------------
7) New York City XP12 update
------------------------------------------------------------
At this time:
- There are no active plans to redevelop the NYC scenery for XP12.
- The existing NYC package is quite old.
- Parts of it are based on decade-old photogrammetry.
Because of that, a full XP12-native rebuild would essentially require starting from scratch.
------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you again for the detailed reports — they are very helpful.
We will correct the confirmed object placement issues and verify the gate configuration and taxilane.
