No lights on Apron at nights on NY AIRPORTS
Dear Stanislaw,
I managed to have UUEE to work but for NY Airports I only see the terminal lights, runways and taxis but NO apron lights. I have HDR disabled.

I'm having the same issue with the nav info on my Mac. I've been looking for a post or a link to the .txt file you said you were going to make but can't find it. Could you please direct me to the file?DD Stanislaw wrote:Sure, will do it next week.DCTom wrote:Any chance of getting the nav info in a .txt file?
Tim W, thank you for your suggestion.
Thanks for all you are doing to bring us awesome airport scenery!

AWOS/ATIS
Hello, I've recently bought the scenery package form x-plane.org. I'm very happy, its a really realistic and complete scenery package but I can't listen to the ATIS the real life frequency in KJFK is 128.72 but in X-plane doesn't work since I installed this add-on or any other ATC frequencies in the list. If there is a fix already in this forum believe me there I looked for it but I can't find it. Thanks.
Hi, first of all my compliments for your excellent work!DD Stanislaw wrote:Laurent,
If you have HDR disabled, you won't see any apron lights. Try enabling the HDR.
Anyway I'd like to point out that apron lights are not working at all even with HDR turned on. The only ligths working are the ones used for illuminating car parkings (I've seen that you used X-Plane lib default ones for that). I believe that in your conversion you didn't add X-Plane 10 lights attributes to your custom lights elements (you should edit your objects in Blender to do that).
Also, AI planes traffic is already present in X-Plane; but on your airports right now they are rolling on runways instead of taxiways so it's a problem. X-Plane AI traffic is based on runways and taxiways configurations or on explicit atc routes that you have to setup in WED.
I've noticed that you don't have any taxiways (not even hidden) declared for your airports, so you have at least to setup an ATC traffic layout in WED in order to make AI work as it should on your airports (the best would be to also create an hidden taxiways layout).
Thanks!

Hello Paolo.
Regarding the AI I will forward this to our specialist, but the HDR is implemented for sure, just check the screenshots: http://drzewiecki-design.net/prodNYAirports_XP.htm . It also works fine on my home setup (the newest version of XP). Is there anything wrong besides not having the correct files possible?

the only thing I'm seeing is that the apron pavement textures are indeed lightened (like in your screenshots), but I don't see any light coming from the lamps (like in the attached screenshot, they seem to be off).

Hey Drzewiecki Design,
I bought NY Airports XP today and like it quite much, but I think that there are a few things that need a makeover.
Please regard this post as constructive critizism. I've designed a freeware scenery of PHNL with custom orthos from the ground up and know how hard it is to get things to look right.
KJFK
-Alignment of Taxiways and concrete/asphalt patches with the underlying ortho-photos is not very precise.
-Blastpad of RWY 13L has no yellow overfly marks. You can see a concrete patch that is not aligned correctly with the ortho-photos and on the underlying orthos there are yellow overfly markings.
KLGA
-Tanker objects close to RWY04 are placed inside each other.
-Alignment of Taxiway lines and the Taxiways themselves are not precise and look odd
KEWR
-No ILS, RWY identifier nor Gate Markings on the Taxiways/Apron
-No overfly markings on Blastpads of most RWYs
-Gangways poorly aligned with the Satellite Terminals.
All Airports
-Stop Markings at Gates have very poor quality and are not readable (A330/B757 etc marks on the Apron)
-Aircraft startup positions are not accurate. Many positions I checked left me halfway inside the terminal building.
Here's a link to my dropbox folder with picture of the above mentioned issues. I'll leave it online for a week, so you guys can have a look at them.

I hope you guys can fix these issues but I understand that there is only so much one can expect for this price.
Also thanks for developing for XP, I really hope it's worth your efforts.
Greetings
Michael

Hello Michael.
Thank you for your remarks. Let me comment some of them:
- Stop marking are simply made as a generic sign, as it would simply be impossible to provide precise stop marks, with aircraft type, for about 700 gates.
- Aircraft startup positions depend only on the aircraft you use - it is fine with default and some add-on aircraft while other would stand too close or too far away from the terminal. I have actually alligned them to my AI package, as user can always reposition an aircraft while AI cannot and this looks really odd when all of AI planes are wrongly parked (I've used MyTraffic Pro).
KEWR
- Where did you observ a no-ILS issue? This should be fine for every runway, as well as the markings (especially runway identifiers). We will check that.
- Gangways = jetways? Well, this stuff is movable to it would never be alligned with satellite images... as it often moves do dock to aircraft.
KLGA
- Will check the tanker objects at rwy4

Hello Stanislaw,
thanks for your quick reply. About your comments:
-You're absolutely right about the stop signs being generic, I just think that the quality of the texture file you're using is too low. It would be great to just see the words A330/B757 etc. . No matter if they are correct for the actual gate.
-I've never heard of MyTraffic Pro for X-Plane. Usually if you set a Startup point in Laminar's World Editor, the aircraft will be placed with its nose gear on the startup position.
KEWR
-I'm generally missing some ground markings at KEWR. ILS Hold lines are there, but the red ILS and Runway ID marks arre missing. As are Gate ID markings on the ground i.e. C31
-The base (first segment) of the jetways that is connected with the terminat ist mostly static (in real life). In one of the picture of my previous post you can see, that the jetway object is simply misaligned. This is a very minor issue and a quick fix in WED or Overlay editor. (Pic link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/22vuom68c1nbn ... 5.jpg?dl=0)
I'm not refering to the position of the jetway compared to orthos, as you've correctly said that these are not static.
